Lubos Fojtik



Lubos Fojtik is an advocate co-operating with one of the leading law firms on the Czech market – Konečná & Zacha; he is primarily specialized in national/international litigations and arbitrations, with emphasis on the law of international trade. Further spheres of his specialization are international private law, public procurement, telecommunication and electronic waste disposal law. 


Lubos Fojtik is also a co-owner and an executive director of the company, Ltd who also maintains a legal internet portal 

He obtained his Master's degree at the Masaryk University in Brno, during his studies he experienced an internship at the university in Budapest. 

During his career he has lectured in various areas of law; inter alia on Liability and Compensation for Damage; or on Delivery INCOTERMS clauses. 

He is an author and a co-author of following articles published in periodicals: 

  • Iura Novit Arbiter? What do the arbitrators have to know?
  • Damages and evidence in cases of medical malpractice
  • Returning of a gift and one question over period of limitations with regard to donation agreement
  • The principle iura not curia in civil procedure today
  • Over Incoterms and contracts of carriage
  • Questions over the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards
  • Liability relationships under the CMR convention
  • Liability of the carrier under the commercial code 

During his lectures he tries to awaken interactivity of his students, their active and practical approach to studies, to be able to work properly and efficiently with enactments and subsequent practical usage of acquired knowledge.
